How are you doing? Perhaps you are feeling a sense of awakening, enthusiasm, renewed creativity, curiosity, hope, and delight, as the light begins to return (and the sun is shining). Perhaps you are feeling the stress of returning to work/school, or the pressure to meet your New Year goals and intentions. Maybe you are feeling like 2026 started out with some shocking news and you just want to hide out under a rock until 2029 and pray that democracy prevails. Or maybe you have some ideas on how to take loving and creative action for change. Maybe you are struggling with sorrow or pain, yours or a loved one's. You may just be hibernating still. Or something else?

Wherever you are in your life, I would like to remind you to be gentle with yourself. The light returns gradually after the winter solstice, buds slowly just beginning to appear, and we too could benefit from a gentle approach. We may still need to be in the quiet time of the year, moving slowly and with tenderness. Whatever your New Year intentions are, I hope you surround them with gentleness, and listen to what Life is inviting; hear what your heart and soul are whispering. Note where your attention sparks, attend to your dreams and daydreams, feel where your body is and how your body feels. Attune to your anchors and inspirations. What song is singing within you? What melody is Life crooning when all is quiet and still? When and where do you feel held?

And please send some of that beautiful gentleness out into the world, too-- we all can use it.

Wishing you a wonder-full 2026. May you feel loved and nourished, and may y/our world be filled with peace and justice, hope and healing, liberation and love.
