Dear all,

It's Spring Equinox Time:
Dark and Light in Equal Parts.
Heartbreak and Hope; Heaviness and Delight
Life and Death; Grief and Joy
Stuckness and Movement;
Hidden and Revealed.

What didn't make it through the winter
What is blooming anew with green life force growing
What needs cleansing and releasing
What wants to grow and blossom
What seeds are being planted...

Creativity and Nurturing
Protection and Courage
Visioning and Dreaming
Fierceness and Soothing
Action and Rest
Yang and Yin
Inhale and Exhale

Love = Harmony
In the Flow with Life's currents
Heart and Feet and Belly and Spirit a steady compass
Green, Alive, Juicy;
Awake.

More seasonal thoughts are breezing by in glimpses:

About the Liver (Liver and Gall Bladder relate to the Wood Element and Spring in Chinese Medicine) and the Seven Emotions, how the Liver (in CM) governs the Qi regulation of our whole bodies, how when one of the Seven Emotions is suppressed or stuck or overly emphasized, it can contribute to constraint of Qi within us, which can lead to pain and/or disregulation of many of our body systems. (The Seven Emotions are Joy, Anger, Anxiety, Worry/Overthinking, Sadness, Fear, and Fright/Shock. Why not Love? Because Love doesn't become out of balance.) We have to be present with all the feels, and also keep the emotions moving, keep the qi flowing, so we don't get stuck or bogged down.

Something I read recently in this context about how Love arises from Harmony, and how feeling safe and in balance helps us feel Love. (We can take a moment to practice feeling safe just by feeling our feet on the ground, a hand on belly and heart, a long inhale through the nose and even longer exhale, cultivating a feeling of warmth and peace in our belly and low back, speaking softly and lovingly and kindly to ourselves, to know we are held in this moment...)

And thinking about roses, blooming now!, which we think of as relating with the Heart and with Love of all kinds, and which in Chinese Medicine also relate to harmonizing and soothing and moving and balancing the Liver Qi. (I have written about this before.)

Also about the Year of the Fire Horse, how this passionate and energetic and fierce and creative energy of the Fire Horse is also sensitive and intuitive (like horses), and needs nourishing and cooling and resting/replenishing to stay in balance and harmony and not burnout.

These thoughts are hovering at the edges of my mind; maybe more elaboration will soon emerge, or maybe this is it. (I also read recently that in this Year of the Fire Horse, ideas may gallop by very quickly, and if we don't act on them right away they may elude us. Relatable!)

For now, I just send you the above thoughts/poem, a picture of a rose, and a heartfelt invitation to our Spring Equinox Gathering next Sunday.

I hope you can join us, please let me know.

With love, support, and blessings for your heart,
and all the care it embraces,

Shoshana
